Republican River Water Conservation District to Hold Quarterly Board Meeting
 
The Board of Directors of the Republican River Water Conservation District will be holding their regular quarterly board meeting in Wray, Colorado.  The date, time, and location of the meeting and a summary of the agenda for the meeting are provided below.
Regular Meeting of the RRWCD Board

Date:               Tuesday, November 17, 2020
Time:               10:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.


Notification:    As a public agency the RRWCD is required to comply with the current State rule requiring face masks and social distance seating.  Disposable masks and hand sanitizer will be provided during the meeting.  For anyone who wishes to participate but will not be able to attend the meeting due to concerns about COVID, RRWCD staff will provide a Zoom video conference platform as well.  A link will be provided on social  www.republicanriver.com.  If the State changes the level of response to COVID by prohibiting in-door gatherings, the meeting will be held only through a ZOOM video conference.  Watch the RRWCD website, www.republicanriver.com for information on how to attend the meeting or call the District office, 970-332-3552 for more details.  
 
Agenda:           Consider and potentially approve minutes of previous Board meeting, August 18, 2020 as well as the Zoom Meeting held on September 10, 2020 and October 26, 2020.  Reports to be given include: Board President’s report, general manager’s report, District financial report, pipeline operator’s report and reports from Board committees and associated organizations.  Budget Hearing on proposed 2021 budget.  Receive a report by State Engineer Kevin Rein and update reports from the RRWCD’s engineer, conservation program specialist, federal and state lobbyists and legal counsels.  Discuss the applications to Central Yuima Ground Water Management District and to the Sandhills Ground Water Management District for the export of water to the Compact Compliance Pipeline.  Consider the possible options for the RRWCD Dryden property in 2021.  Receive a report on the status of the Conservation Joint Task Force.  The public comment session will be held at 1:00 PM.

If necessary, the RRWCD Board of Directors will hold an executive session to receive legal advice on legal questions and litigation concerning South Fork water rights; to discuss and determine positions, develop strategies, and instruct negotiators concerning the purchase or lease of water rights; determine positions and instruct negotiators concerning water supply acquisition, receive legal advice on legal questions related to such agreements, contracts and easements, discuss program applications; the Compact Compliance Pipeline, Bonny Reservoir and personnel matters.
