BRIGGSDALE, CO – May 20, 2021 – Coming up on the final day of the 3-day holiday weekend of May each year, the nation celebrates Memorial Day…an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. This year Memorial Day, will take place on Monday, May 31st.
Memorial Day was originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many Americans observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries or memorials, holding family gatherings and participating in parades. One man…whose mission is to properly honor the fallen and educate the public of our nation’s history each and every Memorial Day weekend by playing taps at 100’s, if not 1000’s of gravesites at Fort Logan National Cemetary in Denver, CO is my guest is Mark Stallins of the National Honor Tour…
