Join the Colorado Farm Bureau Centennial Club and Help Fight Prop 16!

If you haven’t already, you are likely to hear or get questions about Initiative 16 or PAUSE.  Protect Animals from Unnecessary Suffering and Exploitation, otherwise known as PAUSE, includes language that would require livestock live 25 percent of the natural lifespan prior to slaughter among other concerning things.

Colorado Farm Bureau and other agriculture organizations across the state are working hard to stop this initiative from reaching the ballot in 2022 and have obtained expert legal council to challenge this effort. It’s early in the process and right now legal experts can help us challenge the language and title with the title board.

There is a long way to go in this process. As you know, CFB has worked hard on ballot initiatives in the past and will do everything we can to stop this. The best way to get involved is to sign up for the CFB Centennial Club, and help us spread correct and accurate information about the measure and the process. Use this fact sheet to learn more. We’re all in this together, so let’s recruit others to help because we’re in this for the long haul.
