CFB: REMEMBERING COLORADO PEACH LEGEND, HARRY TALBOTT

Harry C. Talbott passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at his Palisade home. He was surrounded by family and friends. Harry was 86 and was the beloved husband of his wife Bonnie for 63 years.

A powerhouse in peach orchards in Western Colorado, Harry’s life was truly fascinating. Born in 1934 to Harry and Margaret Talbott in Montrose, CO,  Harry later went on to serve in the U.S. army, earn his master’s degree in environmental science, teach school in Palisade all before retiring to farm full-time.

“Harry was a big thinker. He always thought there was more to life than what you see,” said Palisade Historical Society founder Priscilla Walker in a recent Colorado Sun Article. “His impact on this area was phenomenal.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with Harry’s wife Bonnie and the rest of the Talbott and extended family.
