CFB ACTION ALERT: Tell our Senators to VOTE NO on SB21-87: Agricultural Workers’ Rights

This bill is an extreme, overreach that will decimate family farms

On Wednesday, March 17, the Senate Business, Labor, & Technology committee will hear SB21-87: Agricultural Workers’ Rights. This bill is too broad and far-reaching, and will result in severe, negative consequences for those who grow our food.

This bill addresses issues like minimum wage/overtime, potential for lawsuits and employee housing requirements during a public health emergency.

SB 87: Agricultural Workers’ Rights will decimate family farms and ranches across Colorado. Working on a farm or ranch is different than in the city. Family farms cannot sustain or afford these harsh, inflexible requirements, resulting in employees losing hours or even the job itself.

Reach out to the Senate Business, Labor & Technology committee TODAY and tell them to VOTE NO on SB21-87!

TAKE ACTION NOW!

NOTE: This fight doesn’t stop here. If this bill passes the Business, Labor & Technology Committee we will need your voice in the Appropriations Committee and then again if it reaches the Senate floor. This bill has HUGE consequences for agriculture and we need all hands on deck to fight this.
