There have been lots of rumors about what SB 135 Prohibit Certain Animals In Traveling Animal Act does. Let’s set the record straight. This bill prohibits the use of certain animals in a traveling act…aka “the circus.”

This bill does NOT:

  • Include agriculture-related activities.
  • Prohibit rodeos, county fairs, livestock shows or dog shows.

Colorado Farm Bureau has worked on this bill in previous years to ensure that agriculture is not impacted by this legislation. It is expected that this bill will include more specific language that further protects agriculture from impact.

*Louder for those in the back.* This bill DOES NOT impact agriculture activities or limit any agriculture events. Spread the word!
