Description

The Ports-to-Plains Alliance, business leaders and government authorities from Canada and Mexico will present the commercial advantages of The Ports to Plains Project for both countries and the North American region as a whole. In addition, the strengths of the Del Rio-Ciudad Acuña Port of Entry as one of the U.S-Mexico border crossings considered in the project will be revealed.


The Ports to Plains Project consists of an economic development corridor stretching from the Canadian provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan, through nine US states (Texas; New Mexico; Oklahoma; Colorado; North Dakota; South Dakota; Montana; Nebraska and Wyoming, and a developing corridor in Central Mexico, connecting to the international port of Mazatlán, Sinaloa.

Taking into consideration the importance to further promote trade and commerce between Canada and Mexico, in the context of the North American Free Trade Agreement (USMCA/CUSMA/TMEC).
