In Memory of Marcy Joyce Konig (Becker)

Marcy Joyce Konig, 51, of Briggsdale, Colorado, passed away on December 15, 2020.

Marcy was born February 10, 1969, in Fort Morgan, Colorado, the daughter of Georgia A. Starbuck. She was a loving sister to four siblings, Kim Becker, Brett Becker, Michelle Perry, and Sean Starbuck.

Marcy graduated from Pawnee High School in 1987. On June 17, 1988, she married her high school sweetheart, Joel Wayne Konig. After beginning their family, she continued her education at Aims Community College, graduating in 1990 with an Associates Degree in Business.


Marcy began her career at the University of Northern Colorado in Accounts Receivables for 14 years. She then continued working with student loans through Windham Professionals for 8 more years. After working 22 years in the student loan department, Marcy chose to complete her career and dedicate quality time to her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Marcy enjoyed planning and traveling all around the country, on fun filled vacations with her family and friends, nearly visiting all 50 states! She loved playing outdoors, bowling, going to local parks with her grandchildren, shopping with her daughters, and spending hours chatting on the phone. Marcy coached recreational, 4-H, and competitive volleyball for 20 years, where she passionately mentored so many young women. No matter the time of day, Marcy was always willing to listen, provide support and comfort, and give all of her heart to those in need.

Marcy is remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Kelby and Kaeley Konig of Hereford, Colo.; daughter, Kayla Edson of Galeton, Colo; daughter, Kyndra Konig of Gilcrest, Colo; grandchildren, Aria Edson, Killian Konig and Kalliope Konig.

A service will be held 11:00am, Saturday, January 2nd at Foundations Church, 1380 N Denver Ave, Loveland, CO 80537.
