Listen to the USDA-NRCS Western States Public Listening Session from today OnLine Inside The BARN
WASHINGTON, December 17, 2020 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will host a virtual public listening session today that focused on water quantity in the central and western U.S. states. NRCS has heard from stakeholders and landowners that more conservation and communication need to be accomplished across the landscape in respect to water quantity. The listening session enables USDA leadership to hear directly from people at the local level on how to improve NRCS programs and operations relating to water. The guests included:
- Bill Northey, Under Secretary, Farm Production and Conservation
- Kevin Norton, Acting Chief, Natural Resources Conservation Service
- Astor Boozer, NRCS Regional Conservationist – West
- Ron Alvarado, NRCS Acting Associate Chief
- Jimmy Bramblett, NRCS Deputy Chief – Programs
- & Several Others too
