CFB: Proposition 114 Too Close to Call

It’s been a night. Rural Colorado has spoken resoundingly: Wolves are bad for Colorado. However, the final results are too close to call. Currently, there are 14,000 votes more in favor of introduction—50.2 percent yes to 49.8 percent no.

Colorado state law states that recount is required for any race within 0.5%. Therefore, as of now, we are likely heading to a recount.

“Despite CSU’s prediction of more than 80 percent support for Prop 114, its clear Coloradans are more closely divided on forced wolf introduction than any other ballot measure. We anticipate the counting to continue and are preparing for the race going to a recount.”

Shawn Martini, Vice President, Advocacy, Colorado Farm Bureau

This is going to come down to every…last…vote. Stay tuned.
