USDA-RD-CO: St. Vincent General Hospital District Receives $50,000 Grant from USDA Rural Development Colorado
Funding to Help Purchase Equipment to Assist with Healthcare Services
Leadville, CO October 16, 2020 –United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Colorado\ Rural Development State Director announced today the award of a $50,000 Community Facilities Grant to St. Vincent General Hospital to purchase a C-Arm Surgical System.
“This piece of equipment will be the only one available in the county,” said Clark. “This system will provide detailed surgical imaging during procedures to minimize patient pain and complications during surgery. This system will be a great medical advancement for the new hospital and a great benefit to the health of the residents in Lake County and the community they serve,” said Clark.
Rural Development previously provided a $21.8 million Direct and Guaranteed loan for a total replacement facility that is currently under construction. The district hopes the new state of the art health care facility will be completed in early 2021. “Under the leadership of President Trump and Agriculture Secretary Perdue, USDA has been working tirelessly to be a strong partner to rural Colorado in building stronger and healthier communities, because we know when rural America thrives, all of America thrives,” said Clark.
USDA Rural Development provides loans and grants to help expand economic opportunities and create jobs in rural areas.
