2020 Colorado 4-H State Conference

The 2020 Colorado State 4-H Conference has been cancelled. The safety, health and wellbeing of all people associated with Colorado 4-H Programming was the main priority and focus in making the decision to cancel the face to face conference. As a result of the current CSU and State 4-H face to face restrictions there have been many state and county 4-H program efforts to offer virtual opportunities for 4-H youth and volunteers to engage in 4-H programming. Of the many leadership, community service and educational components offered to 4-H youth through State 4-H Conference, much discussion has been conducted specifically regarding the State 4-H contests that traditionally occur during State 4-H Conference.

The Colorado State 4-H Office, along with 4-H Agents and 4-H Youth who serve as the Colorado State 4-H Conference planning committee have explored possible alternative approaches to delivering State 4-H contest opportunities to our members in anticipation of extended face to face 4-H programming restrictions.

The determination of the Colorado State 4-H Office along with the State 4-H Conference planning committee is to conduct State 4-H contests in a non-face to face, virtual format, tentatively the week of June 22, 2020. These virtual state contests will serve as our state qualifying events for teams representing Colorado 4-H at their respective National 4-H Contests.

More information regarding 2020 virtual State 4-H contests will be shared with Counties as it becomes available.
