NJC Moving Forward with Annual Collegiate Farm Bureau Plant Sale May 9th
NJC’s annual Collegiate Farm Bureau plant sale will be held on Saturday, May 9th, from 9am-3pm. This year there will be a few modifications.
First, no customers will be allowed in the greenhouse. Instead we ask that you fill out the order form below and reply back to NJC Collegiate Farm Bureau Advisor Andy Bartlett with your purchase. I will reply within 24 hours with your confirmation number. We will have a group of ag faculty/staff that will bring you your plants when you arrive. There is no need to even get out of your car!
Secondly, we have removed all prices and just ask that you give us a donation. I’ve added a suggested donation range to the spreadsheet but feel free to give us more or less!

Check out the NJC Collegiate Farm Bureau Plant Sale FAQ’s below:

Q: What is the size of the tubs? How many plants are in each?
A: Most of our tubs are 3.25”x3.25” with one plant in each tub. Our hanging baskets are 10” in diameter and you can add up to 4 flowers of your choosing to each hanging basket.
Q: What are the prices?
A: We moved our sale to a donation only sale this year. Our order form provides suggested donation amounts but you are welcome to give more or less than the suggested. We appreciate your support!
Q: Can I look at the flowers before I purchase?
A: Unfortunately no community members will be allowed into the greenhouse this year. However, we will be posting photos over the next week to show you the condition, size, flowering stage of the plants. We would like to try to minimize the rejection of plants once ordered as we want to keep the flow of customers consistent.
Q: How can I order?
A: You must submit an order form prior to the plant sale on 5/9. The Excel form can be found on our event page. Send your final order to: Andy.Bartlett@njc.edu and you will receive a confirmation number with 24 hours.
Q: What quantities of each variety do you have?
A: We have anywhere from 120 – 250 of each variety. Some varieties also include different colors. We purchased them as a mix so we may only have 20 specific colors of a certain variety for example.
Q: What do the proceeds go towards?
A: 100% of the profit will be going towards the NJC Collegiate Farm Bureau club for their activities, travel, and events next school year.
Q: How can I pay for my plants?
A: We can accept cash or check. A form will be used if you would like to pay by credit card. The processing of these options will not happen until the following work week.
Please Facebook message the NJC Collegiate Farm Bureau or send an email to Andy.Bartlett@njc.edu if you have any further questions.
