FUNDING FOR PRODUCERS: #COVID19 has upended the livelihoods of farmers, ranchers and others in the #Colorado food system. Restaurants, schools and other longtime buyers are buying far less, leaving our state’s producers with valuable, often perishable products with nowhere to go. That food, grown with care, isn’t making it to our tables.

If you’re a Colorado producer, producer group or intermediary that works directly with producers struggling to adapt fast as a result of COVID, you can apply now for up to $25,000 in grant funding here, round 1 closes May 4th:

Who is the Colorado Farm & Food Response Team?The Colorado Farmers Market Association, FrontLine Farming, Colorado Food Systems Advisory Council, LiveWell Colorado, CSU Extension, the National Western Center, City and County of Denver-Good Food Purchasing Program, Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, Colorado Food Pantry Network, The Good Food Collective, Mile High Farmers, Colorado Department of Agriculture, Rocky Mountain Local Food, and National Young Farmers Coalition (and YOU!) have joined together to create a state project team to support farmers and ranchers in responding to changing market opportunities in the midst of COVID-19.
