Weld County Public Health / JBS
Weld County – Good afternoon. Please see the following statement and attached documents regarding the JBS facility in Greeley. Additional questions should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org, and that team will continue to compile and answer questions as quickly as they can.
Dr. Mark E. Wallace, MD, MPH, Executive Director of the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment (WCCDPHE) and JBS USA have had numerous discussions regarding COVID-19 and Greeley facility. Both documents are attached below.
On April 4, 2020, Dr. Wallace sent a letter to Mr. Christopher Gaddis at JBS summarizing the discussions in an effort to coordinate a proactive response to health concerns at the Greeley facility. A joint Public Health Order was issued on Saturday morning by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the WCDPHE.
Under the Health Order issued by the state and the county, steps are outlined for JBS to take in order to address the public health concerns regarding the facility. JBS is charged with addressing those concerns and meeting the directives of the Order, and how JBS chooses to do that is within their purview.
For questions about the health order or the Weld County Department of Public Health, please contact the Weld County Joint Information Department at email@example.com or 970-400-4210.
For questions relating to JBS, please contact JBS directly.
