Farmers and ranchers visit classrooms and read a book about agriculture! This is a FREE program.

The Colorado Foundation for Agriculture is gearing up for our Colorado Literacy Project!
Schools may sign up to have a farmer or rancher visit their classrooms this spring (February through May). They will read the book The Girl Who Thought in Pictures: The Story of Dr. Temple Grandin, complete an activity with the students, and talk about their connection to agriculture. The book is then donated to the school. The Colorado Literacy Project is a way to bring agriculture into the classroom while reinforcing reading comprehension and science standards.
