Congratulations to Bennett FFA…Winners of the Colorado Corn FFA Grant Program

GREELEY, CO – December 20, 2019 – The Colorado Corn FFA Grant Program assists chapters in the state with projects that lack funding within their school district’s budget. Applications were accepted through November 15th. The Grant Committee was pleased to have eight chapters across the state to consider.
Using a standardized evaluation process, the committee carefully reviewed the applications and is honored to announce this year’s recipient is the Bennett FFA Chapter. The grant will assist the chapter with an ambitious set of goals to address the needs of their growing student body. Program goals center around an immersive agriculture education facility with a greenhouse.

‘Focused on the Future’ means focusing on Colorado’s youth and part of that effort for the Colorado Corn Administrative Committee is supporting youth-focused programs like the Colorado Corn FFA Grant. Since the program’s inception in 2013 Colorado Corn has contributed over $25,000 to various FFA chapters across state.
Thank you to each Chapter who applied and Congratulations to Bennett FFA!

About Colorado Corn

Colorado Corn is the name used to reference two organizations, Colorado Corn Administrative Committee and Colorado Corn Growers Association. While they share the same staff and office space in Greeley, they have distinctly different missions. The Colorado Corn Administrative Committee (CCAC) oversees how Colorado’s corn check-off dollars (one penny per bushel of grain corn produced in Colorado) are invested in research, market development, outreach and other various endeavors. The Colorado Corn Growers Association (CCGA) is comprised of dues-paying members who are politically active, focusing on policy that impacts corn producers and agriculture in general.
