Focused on the Future means focusing on Colorado’s youth and part of that effort for the Colorado Corn Administrative Committee is supporting youth-focused programs like the Colorado Corn FFA Grant. The Colorado Corn FFA Grant Program assists FFA chapters in Colorado on projects that lack funding within their school district’s budget.

Applications are being accepted from Colorado FFA chapters for this grant.

The deadline to apply is Nov. 15th.

Colorado Corn started the FFA grant program in 2013, and has contributed over $25,000 to various FFA chapters across state.

“Students interested in agriculture who make up these FFA chapters represent some of the brightest and most hard-working young people.  It’s our pleasure to assist them, and their impactful projects, in any way possible,” said Colorado Corn Executive Director Mark Sponsler. “There’s no doubt in my mind, that Colorado Corn FFA Grant Program exemplifies our collaborative mission of focusing on the future and leveraging resources.”

The National FFA Organization was founded in 1928, and, with its focus on middle school and high school classes that promote and support ag education, is the largest of the career and technical student organizations in U.S. schools.

Colorado Corn Administrative Committee (CCAC) manages producer’s one-penny-per-bushel assessment from the sale of grain corn, collected by the state’s first handlers.  These funds are invested in research, market development, consumer outreach and education to create opportunities for producers and enhance the value of corn.
