Colorado Hosts U.S. Grains Post Ethanol Summit Tour
Overseas Buyers Visit Colorado’s Ethanol Value Chain
Twenty-one high-level government officials and ethanol decision makers from Ghana, Nigeria, Israel and South Africa spent time in Colorado Oct. 16-19, to better understand the U.S. ethanol production process from farm to ethanol plant.
Buyers in the delegation, led by the U.S. Grains Council (USGC), in partnership with the Colorado Corn Administrative Committee, came to the state after attending the Global Ethanol Summit in Washington, D.C. That event, including 400 participants jointly sponsored by the Council, Growth Energy and the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA), featured business-to-business meetings and participants learned about the benefits of expanding ethanol use.
During the post-Summit tour in Colorado, the delegation went to an ethanol plant, a retailer for a blender pump explanation, a renewable chemicals and biofuels company to discuss the bio-economy and renewable gasoline, and a renewable energy laboratory to learn about ethanol and engine technology.
