Save the date for the 10th National Farm to Cafeteria Conference, coming to Albuquerque, New Mexico, April 21-23, 2020! Hosted by the National Farm to School Network, this biennial event will convene hundreds of movement leaders working to source local food for institutional cafeterias and foster a culture of healthy food and agricultural literacy across America.

Cafeterias in schools, childcare centers, universities, hospitals and other institutions serve more than 40 million Americans every day, placing the farm to cafeteria movement at the forefront of efforts to grow healthier communities, advance equity and justice, and strengthen local food systems. The National Farm to Cafeteria Conference is the only national gathering of stakeholders from across this movement, making it the premier opportunity to learn, network and innovate with like-minded leaders from across the country.

Scholarships are now available for the 10th National Farm to Cafeteria Conference! A majority of scholarship awards will cover conference registration fees and/or field trip registration fees, pending available funds. Additional scholarships that also include travel may be available in limited quantities, based on funding.

National Farm to School Network seeks to remove barriers to conference participation for all attendees, but we acknowledge barriers may be greater for people most impacted by inequities. In order to ensure the conference reflects the full diversity of farm to cafeteria constituents, scholarships are prioritized for, but not limited to: people of color, Native community members, youth (through age 22), people with disabilities; people who identify as LGBTQIA+; people who are currently underemployed / unemployed; people experiencing financial hardships; people just beginning their farm to cafeteria career; and, others. Learn more here.

Applications must be received online by 6pm ET on Friday, November 1, 2019, or mailed with a postmark by Friday October 25, 2019.
