US Senator Gardner Applauds USDA Investments in Three Rural CO Water Infrastructure Projects
Washington, D.C. – Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) today applauded the announcement that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is helping finance three rural water infrastructure projects in Colorado.
“It’s essential that all Colorado communities have access to safe and clean drinking water and water treatment facilities,” said Senator Gardner. “I live in rural Colorado and I know how important these projects are for our small communities. It’s great news that the USDA will be investing in these rural infrastructure projects.”
USDA will loan more than $5.5 million and invest more than $4.3 million to fund the first of three phases for the town of Wiggins’ wastewater project. In Peetz, USDA will invest $924,000 and loan $376,000 to construct a new wastewater treatment facility. USDA will also loan the town of Estes Park more than $1.3 million to replace 2,630 linear feet of water lines.
