Farm Foundation President Constance Cullman to Depart

OAK BROOK, IL May 2, 2019: Constance Cullman, the seventh person to lead Farm Foundation in its 86-year history, has announced her departure effective June
2019. Cullman has served as President of the Foundation since June 2016. She will join the American Feed Industry Association as President and Chief Executive Officer in July 2019.
“Over the past three years with Constance leading the team, Farm Foundation has strengthened its role as a convener of all voices in the food and agriculture sector and as a source of objective analyses,” said Joe Swedberg, Chairman of the Farm Foundation Board of Directors.
“But objectivity and non-advocacy does not mean no action,” Swedberg continued. “Under Constance’s leadership, the Foundation’s work has tackled such challenging issues as innovation in food and agriculture, infrastructure, antimicrobial use in food producing animals, human capital, conservation, broadband access for rural America, and now, the Farm Foundation Food and Agricultural Trade Resource Center. Cullman has kept the focus on the Foundation’s unique ability to help stakeholders better understand the complexity of, and options to address, the multitude of issues shaping the future.”
Swedberg has appointed a search committee to begin the process of finding a successor.
“With the rapid changes and opportunities before the agriculture and the food system today, it has been both a privilege and great responsibility to lead Farm Foundation,” Cullman said. “The Foundation is a unique resource and its role as an objective voice for our sector has never been more important.”
“Farm Foundation wishes Constance success and thanks her for her service,” Swedberg concluded.
