Greenberg To Host Meet-And-Greet For Farmers, Ranchers in Yuma, Ft. Morgan

Colorado Commissioner of Agriculture Kate Greenberg will host a meet-and-greet event in Yuma and Fort Morgan, with Governor Jared Polis planning on attending the Fort Morgan event.

Farmers and ranchers are encouraged to show up and share their concerns and recommendations regarding production agriculture and how the Department of Agriculture can work with producers. During the past few years producers have been dealing with declining farm income and difficult weather events.

The Yuma event is set for 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at the Yuma Community Center at 421 E. 2nd Street. The Fort Morgan event will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, April 26, at the Country Steak-Out Restaurant at 19592 E. 8th Ave., in Fort Morgan.

While in Yuma and Fort Morgan, Greenberg plans to meet with community leaders whose businesses depend on agriculture.

These are among several tours Greenberg will make across Colorado to listen to and learn from farmers and ranchers across the Eastern Plains as well as the San Luis Valley and Western Slope.
