Reminder from Colorado Corn: Stewardship Applications Due April 19th
Two years ago, Colorado Corn Growers Association started the Farm Stewardship Award to recognize members in good standing who were demonstrating best management practices on their farm related to soil, water, and/ or air stewardship. Applications are due by April 19, 2019 revised from the March 15th due date. The announcement of the winner will be made during the Colorado Corn Annual Meeting in Greeley, CO to be held on December 4th, 2019.
What kind of criteria is needed?

An explanation of known or innovative best management practices implemented in the applicant’s farming operation possibly related to:
  • Nutrient management
  • Water quality management
  • Air quality management
  • Soil health
  • Precision ag technologies
  •  Irrigation (if applicable)
  • Soil erosion control
  • Cover crops

Who is Colorado Corn?

Colorado Corn, based in Greeley, is made up of the Colorado Corn Administrative Committee and the Colorado Corn Growers Association.

The Colorado Corn Administrative Committee (CCAC) oversees how Colorado’s corn check-off dollars (one penny per bushel of grain corn produced in Colorado) are invested in research, market development, outreach and other various endeavors.

The Colorado Corn Growers Association (CCGA) is comprised of dues-paying members who are politically active, focusing on policy that impacts corn producers and agriculture in general.
