The Colorado Young Farmers Educational Association is pleased to announce that over $14,000 was raised for their Academic Scholarship fund, last Thursday at the 2019 CO Farm Show!  The CYFEA “Tractor Hours” live auction fund raising event was held at noon on January 31st, at the 4Rivers Equipment booth inside the Events Center.  Bryson Miller, of Auctioneers Miller and Associates, called this fun event.

A total of 175 tractor hours were auctioned off, split between five buyers that included: M & M Farms of Berthoud; Knapp Land and Cattle of Rocky Ford; Larson Farms and Feeding of Gill;  Marrs Milky Way Dairy of Ault, and Cook Brothers Farming, of Eaton.  The CYFEA would like to thank these buyers, along with 4Rivers Equipment and John Deere who graciously sponsored the event this year.

All of the auction’s proceeds benefit the CYFEA’s Academic Scholarship Program, which annually awards one scholarship each for a Colorado college bound freshman, sophomore, junior and senior student who is majoring in the field of agriculture.  Information and the application for the CYFEA Academic Scholarship awards are available on the CYFEA website at:  www.cyfea.org   You can also contact Sharon Pattee, CYFEA’s Executive Director, for any additional information at:  spattee@cyfea.org
