Here are some ag facts to ponder about agriculture in Colorado and our host location of Weld County:

  • According to the USDA’s 2017 Economic Research Service (ERS) data, Colorado ranked 22nd nationally for total state cash receipts for all commodities at $6.781 Billion, representing 1.8% of Cash Receipts for all commodities in the United States.
  • According to the 2012 Census of Agriculture, Total Value of Agricultural Products Sold in Colorado was $7.78 Billion, establishing Colorado 20th in the nation.
  • And the Total Value of Agriculture Products Sold in Weld County alone was $1.860 Billion, ranking 1st in Colorado and 9th in the nation.

These facts make this year’s theme, “If you eat it, drink it or wear it, agriculture produced it!” even more fitting.

This year’s Colorado Farm Show will feature close to 300 ag-related exhibitors. It will draw in more than 30,000 visitors from throughout the region who are interested in learning more about ag products, services, and machinery. There are tons of educational breakout sessions over the 3-day show, topics of which include:

Beef, Equine, Dairy, Sheep, Colorado Produce, Colorado Agriculture Education Days, Ag Spotlight, Ag Outlook, Colorado Weather Report, Climate Smart Ag, Partners in Ag & many more…

The Colorado Farm Show is also proud to support area youth pursuing a degree in an Agricultural field of study at the College or University of their choice. The CFS will award over $27,000 in college scholarships this year and has awarded over $207,000 total during its existence.

Special thanks to John Elway Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram for supplying the Colorado Farm Show Board members with Dodge Ram Trucks to utilize during the show and one to use year-round, to help promote the 55th Anniversary Colorado Farm Show.
