CSU Extension SEA Event: Ag Marketing Lunch and Learn Series in Baca County starts January 8th
Are you interested in learning more about cash markets, managing price
risk or selecting a broker? Maybe you just want some more information
about market planning. If so, join Baca County Extension for a series of
Lunch and Learn Webinars. Beginning January 8, 2019, topics covering
the basics of agriculture marketing will be covered every Tuesday in
January. Sessions will be from Noon-2 pm at the Minnick Building on
the Baca County Fairgrounds in Springfield, Colorado.
The course will be instructed by Brent Young, CSU Agriculture and
Business Management Economist. Tiana Garcia, a Southeast Area
Extension agent will be facilitating the course. The Basic Ag Marketing
Webinar is meant to be an introductory course covering the mechanics
of cash, futures, and options markets. This webinar is designed to meet
the needs of agriculture producers who are new to commodity marketing
and are looking for techniques to improve the prices they receive for
their crops and livestock. The webinar format is interactive and will
allow for live questions. Each webinar session will be recorded for
review if you miss a session or for additional viewing to clarify
concepts.
Registration is due no later than Friday, December 28th to the Baca
County Extension Office. Bring your own lunch on January 8th and
22nd. Lunch will be provided on January 15th and 29th.
